Coronavirus (Covid-19) information
Please find the latest guidance for Social Distancing and for households with suspected cases of Covid-19. Information correct as of 5pm on 19.03.20
On 18th March 2020, the Secretary of State for Education, Gavin Williamson, announced that;
'After schools shut their gates on Friday afternoon, they will remain closed until further notice except for children of key workers and vulnerable children, as part of the country’s ongoing response to coronavirus.
Examples of these workers include NHS staff, police and supermarket delivery drivers who need to be able to go to work to support the country’s fight to tackle coronavirus. Vulnerable children include those who have a social worker and those with Education, Health and Care Plans – a legal document that describes a child’s special educational needs and the support they require.
Children who do not fall into these groups should remain at home with appropriate care.'
In light of this announcement, school will be closed from 3pm on Friday 20th March 2020, to all children except those of key workers and vulnerable children, as outlined above. As of 5pm on 19.03.20, we are still awaiting government instruction on the list of key workers. We will communicate this as soon as it is released.
As detailed in the letter sent out by email on 19/3/20, if you feel that your child may fit into one of the above groups and you may need this service, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following details; child's name, class, parents' occupation or reason for vulnerability, days/times care would be needed.
We will continue to communicate information with parents as we receive it and thank you for your support and patience at this difficult time.
